The Centre Patronal provides services to companies and professional associations. It provides assistance, information and advice to business managers and delivers secretariat support, as well as legal, economic and asset management expertise, to more than 180 associations. The Centre Patronal is a key player in the business economy, engaging with policy issues at both cantonal and federal level and making independent decisions regarding specific courses of action. It offers a range of Pillar 1, family allowance, income replacement and Pillar 2 insurance solutions. In terms of occupational pensions, the Centre Patronal manages 5 collective foundations for associations and 1 interprofessional collective foundation for more than 4,500 member companies and some 50,000 insured persons. These pension schemes operate on the basis of broad, collective responsibility between member companies, a restricted choice of pension plans, compliance with collective agreements, active social partnership, high-quality customized services, and low management costs. The insured persons and employers receive one hundred percent of any available surpluses either directly or indirectly.
Established in 1898 by the Cantonal Parliament, the Caisse cantonale d’assurance populaire (CCAP) is an independent public sector entity with a government guarantee. Its remit is to promote pensions and insurance in the Canton of Neuchâtel by offering occupational pension solutions, individual insurance cover and mortgages.
